The International Society for Humor Studies (ISHS) is a scholarly and professional organization dedicated to the advancement of humour research. Its members research humour's many facets, including its role in business, entertainment, and health care as well as how humour varies according to culture, age, gender, purpose, and context.

After two year’s absence due to the Covid pandemic, the society’s 32nd international conference will finally take place at the University of Bologna from June 29 to July 2, 2022 at the CEUB Summer Residence in Bertinoro where academics from around the world will present their latest research on humour in medicine, psychology, the humanities in general and, last but not least, in the public sphere.
